About fear and phobias
Fear is a form of anxiety triggered by something in your surroundings.

The term agoraphobia is often misunderstood. The literal definition implies a fear of "open spaces". However, this is an incomplete and misleading view. Agoraphobics need not necessarily be afraid of open spaces. Rather, they have panic feelings, in situations involving experiences or situations associated with anxiety. Typically these may include driving, shopping, crowded places, traveling, standing in line, being alone, meetings and social gatherings.
